Champions Honored at Annual Banquet

A hearty and sometimes animated crowd celebrated The Legion Speedways' just concluded race season at the annual Banquet of Champions, held at the Lebanon Lodge of Elks in Lebanon, NH on Saturday November 5th 2016. Awards were presented to competitors in both the oval track O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Series and the All American Truck Pulling Series brought to you by TMS Diesel.
The All American Truck Pulling Series awards kicked off the banquet with Champions honored in Nine different divisions. The Champions are as follows; Street Legal Pure Stock, Porter Demers of Argyle, NY with the Enhanced Street Stock, Jeremy Bolton of Weare, NH. Super Stock 2X4 saw Bill Bolton of Weare, NH topping the field and Ashley Boise of New Haven, VT topping the Super Stock 4X4 Division. Landaff, NH resident Brandon Chase is the Champion in the Doodlebug Division. The three Diesel Divisions saw Rob Yianakopolos of Hooksett, NH the Champ in both the 2.5 and 3.0 Diesel Divisons with Jake Harris best in the 2.6 Diesel Division. The 10K Open Division saw Brandon Chase take the honors for the year.
The awards for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Series started with Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stocks where Matt Boucher claimed the Championship by virtue of consistency as Boucher won just three features throughout the Season.
The Petro Mart of Enfield Super Streets saw Doug Boucher named the Champion. Much like his brother Matt, Doug's Championship run was a model of consistantcy as he finished in the top four spots an amazing 17 times.
In the Peanut's Auto Sportsman Modifieds former Super Street Champion Derek O'Hearn claimed the title in his first full season of competition in the track's top division. O'Hearn finished in the top three 15 times with 5 of those being victories.
Tony Sanville, top wrench for Racin' Jason Sanville, received the Mechanic of the Year Award.
